KR Wood
'Camp Cookie'
KR was born and raised in North Texas and developed a love for Texas history and country music as a teenager. He combined those passions to write and produce his first CD titled 'Fathers of Texas' featuring some of Texas' greatest musicians and country music stars like Gary P Nunn, Rusty Weir, Townes Van Zandt etc. Knowing there was a need for a innovative way to teach todays youth KR developed a performance taking students on a journey through the Texas Revolution with song and narration to make history come alive.
Greg Lowry
'Lonesome Greg'
Lonesome Greg grew up on the vast prairie with music as his best friend. After piano lessons as a child it was all down hill from there- with various and assorted instruments attaching themselves as he tumbled like one of them tumbleweeds. Today he finds himself busy with entirely too many things the require maintenance, strings, accessories and the occasional repair.
Doug Taylor
'Dangerous Doug'
Doug a multi-talented music man, spent his early years in Tulsa, OK, but got to Texas as soon as he could. His first musical memory was hearing Leon McAuliffe and the Red River Valley Boys come on KVOO after the stock report, "take it away Leon, take it away". Another big influence was his Uncle Zach, whose country band included banjo, fiddle and accordian. In high school, Doug traded his trumpet for a guitar. Since then, his soaring tenor voice, sweet mandolin and dynamic bass playing have established him in Texas bluegrass and acoustic music circles.
